George was playing in the garden today, when his grandmother turned up. She was wearing a baseball cap, and happened to take it off as she sat down. George raced over and picked up the hat, plonked it on his head, and raced away to play again.
I decided to do a 30 days project, and since my children are always around, and pretty good models i decided to do a 30 days project on my son,George. I will follow it up with a 30 days of Tina of course, but for right now my first born is in the limelight- so here goes-Welcome to the world of George :)

Day twenty five
Monday, monday, can't touch that day....Monday, monday, sometimes it just turns out that way.... I snapped todays pic first thing in the morning. It is a study of George brushing his teeth..
Day twenty three
Saturday is always a busy day-Time to get the washing done, clean house, entertain friends, cook lots and lots :) I was making my way wearily up to bed when i realized that i hadn't taken my picture for today, so here is my offering. Sleep tight little prince x

Day twenty two
Day twenty two and i have been chasing George around all day. I got a couple of good shots of him today on the climbing frame, but i chose this picture, for two reasons. First off, it shows his tshirt (yes Uncle Chris, my son likes TMNT :) ) and secondly he is in mid swing on the monkey bars. Rather appropriate, seeing as he is in fact a little monkey!

Day twenty one
On the way home from the beach tonight, we stopped for a special treat- corn on the cob! The kids love to eat this treat , lovingly prepared by the side of the road vendors. We buy it, then rush home so we can sit on our front porch in the dying light and scoff our faces! This is also a special treat for George because for the longest time he was allergic to corn-now he gorges himself on it- sweetcorn will be eaten with anything-sprinkled on pizza, spaghetti, baked potato, but corn on the cob not only is fun to eat, it's fun to say too! :)
I was goofing around taking pictures of everyone eating their corn, and got some very unflattering shots of the family, but i love this one. George trying to tell me off WHILE he is eating!

Day nineteen
So, George's grandmother got home today after a week abroad. George and his sister were delighted this morning when i told them that we would be going up to the village to see Yia Yia in the village. We made our way up there, and had a lovely lunch together, and then everyone spread out to do their own thing. Yia Yia and Tina snuck off to the air-conditioned bedroom, Daddy flaked out on the couch, and George??? Well, George found a mirror and amused himself by watching his face in the mirror as he was laughing. I managed to capture it nicely...
Day eighteen
George is such a happy child, it is a rare day indeed if he hasn't laughed at least once! Sometimes however, he seems especially giggly. On days like this, anything (and EVERYTHING) will set him off. Today was one of those days. I tried to get a pic of him when he wasn't laughing- (he is a BIG laugher) and in the end got this picture- a barely contained giggle in the making!

Day seventeen
George doesn't dress up alot (in dressing up clothes), but he does have things that he likes to wear. When we go out to a party, he likes to wear a suit, and to look smart, and sometimes he will find a hat or sunglasses that he just likes to wear to hang out in. Today he found the Russian army hat, that i had bought as a souveneir of our Russian adventure, and he wore it all day. I don't know if he was wearing it because it reminds him of his Grandfather (who we were visiting on the Russian adventure) or because he just likes the hat? Either way, the boy wore it for the better part of the day, so at the very least it must be a comfortable hat to wear.
Day sixteen
The one thing i love about my children is that they adore each other. I mean, don;t get my wrong, they fight like cats and dogs, just like any other children, but sometimes they play together so nicely, it hurts just to look at them! Tina absolutely worships her brother, and it is pretty darn helpful having a geek for a brother-anytime she gets stuck, I hear her little voice saying 'Georgie, please can you help me?' and he usually comes running! Of course, the easy part is getting George ona computer, the hard part is getting him off it again!

Day fifteen
I've been watching George for the last couple of days, and he really gets animated when he is playing games on the Wii. He gets very excited when things are going right, gets VERY upset when things go wrong. Sometimes though, what happens is just such a SURPRISE!

Day fourteen
I was starting to get bored, so i thought i'd switch it up a little bit. People are always telling me (and George himself) what gorgeous eyes he has- so i thought i'd focus on them. I had to get in close, and ended up with him looking straight at the camera like an inquisitive puppy!

Day twelve
George's expression here makes me think of the song in the musical Oliver!- The one that goes 'Consider yourself at home, consider yourself part of the furniture....'- don't know why, it just does. He looks soo cheeky, and i can just imagine him singing away and striking this pose :)

Day ten
Well, I'm a third of the way through already- how bout that! It's the 15th August, and that only means one thing on the little island of Cyprus- PARTAY!!! We went to my uncles house and were overwhelmed with good food, and wonderful company. Of course, what happens to the kids when they get too much sugar, and overstimulated with lots of people around- you got it, they start to play up. Luckily we were heading out when George got the grumpy bug and hit his sister. I told him off so he sulked all the way home, and then burst into tears when we got home, as i took away all electrical privileges- no Wii, no DSi, no laptop.
So, as he is sulking on the couch, i noticed one tear was glistening away, caught in his eyelash, and i had to take a picture!

Day Nine
George is still in his creative mood. Unfortunately, that means that there are various bits of paper cut up and strewn around the house, and every time i pick one up i get told off- "Mummy! You just threw Luigi away!' is not a sentence i would normally expect to hear, but yet i did, today! lol
Here is a picture of my darling son - his thick hair is plastered to his head because it is still pretty hot here, and he is very proud (as you can see) to have created his very own pacman! On a side note, it really amuses me when George finds a retro game like this, and then proceeds to tell me how to play it (the words grandmother suck and eggs come to mind!) Heh heh.

Day Eight
I've done it again! Not managed to upload my picture on the right day :( Nevermind, I'm here now, and the thing that counts is that I have been TAKING the pictures :) :)
Anyway, today George was in quite a creative mood. He has drawn and coloured in pictures, which he then cut out and stuck to other pieces of paper. He spent hours with a cardboard box today, exercising his imagination and making up various elaborate stories to go with his games, and he has done a fair bit of writing. I really wanted to capture him playing with his cardboard box, but i didn't get the picture- maybe another day :)
Here is a picture of him writing a story instead

Day seven
I wanted to take a picture of George in front of my bougainvillea, as it is so pretty at the moment, a riot of green and pink. I took a few pictures focusing on the colours and whatever, then got in real close. This was my favorite picture for today.

Day six
I nearly missed taking my picture today! It has been a long, busy HOT day today and I just hadn;'t got round to taking my picture. So we were all winding down, sitting on the front porch eating watermelon, and George comes out wearing some kind of bandana round his head- snap! Here's todays pic :) This is what we would call a mean looking George

Day four
So we went shopping today, and George bought this spring load aeroplane. He really enjoyed shooting it round the garden, but i captured him studying his new toy. I think he is figuring out how it works- little clever clogs!
Day three
This photo came out a little blurry, but i like the vibe, so I used it for my photo today. George was climbing on his climbing frame, and I got underneath and snapped a shot. Then i though it would look better in black and white- whaddaya think?
Day two
What better way to show off my cheeky monkey George,
but for him to be laughing? Here is day two's picture

Day One
Wouldn't you know it? The day i decide to start taking pictures of my son, and do a 30 days of George, he ends up headbutting a coffee table, i think thats what you call sod's law!
Oh well, here is my boy on day one,
and i waited till he was asleep so that i could get that peaceful angel shot :)
