Day Thirty

Well, we are here-the last day of my project. It has been great fun (at least for me) and an opportunity to chase my son around with a camera. As I have mentioned before, George isn't a great fan of the camera, and has been irritated with me many times on this journey, but i am happy with the pictures i have taken, and it has made me pick up the camera again after taking a break over the summer holidays. Here is my last picture-George with his new haircut, (ready for school) and sporting suncream (ready for a day at the beach today)  :)

Day twenty nine

The penultimate day of my project! I can't believe i have taken 29 pictures already, though George has certainly felt it. Unlike my younger child (Tina) my son is quite happy for me to take pictures of him (as long as i am standing at the other side of the room/playing field etc.), which means i would have to have a telephoto lens if i want any detail on the photo at all! Unfortunately for him, i don't have such a lens, and have been hounding him so i can get the closeups that i wanted. Today saw a rare show of irritation from my boy, but the picture came out so wonderfully that i had to use it :)

Day twenty eight

The dark side :)Sometimes my son is concentrating so hard on whatever it is that he is doing (usually playing on the computer, or surfing the web) that he just seems really far away. I love that this picture shows the freckles on his face, the dimple in his chin, and his huge liquid eyes :)

Day twenty seven

Cooking with the children is one of my favourite things to do. They get so excited mixing all the ingredients together, and then hang around the kitchen being tortured by the smells until i take whatever we have made out of the oven. Today was no exception! Biscuits were the order of the day, and George just couldn't contain himself. This picture is out of focus but i had to choose it, because of the expression on his little face, and the hands on his body  he is so excited, he just wants to touch the hot biscuits :)

Day twenty six

George was playing in the garden today, when his grandmother turned up. She was wearing a baseball cap, and happened to take it off as she sat down. George raced over and picked up the hat, plonked it on his head, and raced away to play again.

Day twenty five

Monday, monday, can't touch that day....Monday, monday, sometimes it just turns out that way.... I snapped todays pic first thing in the morning. It is a study of George brushing his teeth..

Day Twenty four

So, George and his Daddy were putting together the mousetrap today, and this is a picture of George concentrating hard-watching his Daddy  put all the pieces together. It is so nice to watch the two boys working together, and they are both so proud when things work :)
